2. Once again, Dennis goes to bat for WE THE PEOPLE.
A truer American Patriot like him only comes around once in a while. I am fortunate to know several.

3. But, But Dennis......
....the Military/Industrial complex is keeping your senate cohorts in the chips. If we bring the American troops home, whose gonna keep these senators living in the style they are accustomed too? Oh wait, there's always the Medical/Industrial complex. Silly me for forgetting about the insurance companies and HMO's.

4. One of these days these dunces in DC are going to wake up and listen to DK.
Edited on Thu May-14-09 04:40 PM by Stevepol
A large part of the Dem Party is already listening. There aren't very many politicians who are right almost all the time about everything. Who told Americans not to go into Iraq? Who didn't want to go into Afghanistan? Who saw through the bank swindle from the very beginning? Who continues to call for a single-payer health system? I've missed a dozen other occasions where DK stood almost alone for truth and was proven right.

A man of principle and integrity in Congress in this day and age, who would have thunk it?

5. Its too bad this country didn't have the sense to elect him President!
I'm beginning to have my doubts about what we have.
It's so much better than what we had but it's still
not enough.

14. IF.......
If only we would get off our asses and demand that all
elections be publicly funded. No more, "the wealthiest
wins" shit! Then, people like Dennis and a host of truly
patriotic Americans could be elected to represent us and the
people could run this country. All we have to do is demand
that private money be taken out of the election process. That
should be something that all Americans, regardless of party,
should support. We have to demand that this happen, if we want
America to have any kind of chance at true Democracy.

21. It depends...
I am a strong advocate of public financing but...

Be careful what you wish for. The devil is in the political climate and the details...

Here in Arizona, we have public financing, a weak, spineless democrat party and over the last few decades a huge influx of clueless, republican retirees moving here.

Now we have a republican, FAR right-wing, Clean Election money FUNDED, Legislature that would make Mississippi or Alabama in the 1950s proud.

After that traitor Janet Napolitano (Clean Money - rabid blue dog Dem) left us to their tender mercies and the republican Sec. of State moved into the Governor's office -- WE'RE FUCKED on EVERY LEVEL!!!!

The reason:

1) It's all but impossible to qualify for the ballot (and thereby for Clean Money) if you're not Dem or puke here in Arizona.

2) The amount of Clean Money you get is not enough unless you have the extra party machine money behind you and

3) THE ARIZONA DEMS ARE BLUE DOG COWARDS and not much better than the "center" republicans!!!!

16. People are stunned by Dennis, and that is ineffective.
How do people get inspired to act? Not violently, but
intelligently so that he makes a difference?

23. He doesn't get it! TPTB CANNOT BRING THESE GUYS HOME!
There is NO WAY to afford the social cost of doing so. Better to keep them in a theatre, ANY THEATRE and preserve the MIC profits that roll in as a result.
