Ok first off, the banks actually owned by the government now never put up a fight. They handed them over, no problem, because they got rich quick.

Second, lets face it, there was a time in history when we were the best in the world but those days are over (for now). Countries in Europe, countries in Asia, and Canada just do things better than us. You look at any statistics for industrialized nations and we're some of the worst across the board; poverty, crime, public education, and lets not forget who's economy is causing most of this mess across the world.

Thirdly, most of this is pure rhetoric to make the American public forget about the people in charge for the last 30 years; conservatives. They don't won't to remind you (or themselves) whose failed ideology landed us in this mess. So how do they do that? They slander a pool of thought that conflicts with their own by associating what the rest of the industrialized world has adapted (and what the left-wing wishes to) with nazism and/or communism.

This is a demonstration of the petty, tiny and counterproductive nature of the morons in the Republican party. If they go through with this, the Democrats had better outright ignore the Republicans and refuse to engage them on any stage--especially on television; refuse to recognize their existence just as the Republicans are refusing to respect the Democrats. These people are un-American and truly a fifth column in this nation.

That or have a meeting to rebrand the Republicans as the Gang of Idiots.
