The protesters fared far worse than he did. I hope he gets to tell his story to his fellow cops.
Maybe they will see that the brutality they have shown the protesters was uncalled-for and not
reciprocated (at least in this instance).

These are Mousavi supporters. They have resisted violent acts against police when possible on request of Mousavi.

They know that they need to gain the support of local police to help protect them against the Mahij and Revolutionary Guard. This is how they have been conducting themselve. But, according to twitter reports, they have no patiance for those who they catch brutalizing protesters.

After the Rally at Freedom/revolution Square, Mahiji militiamen took pot shots at the crowd from the roof of their compound. The protesters torched the place, and it is rummered that one of the militiamen was killed.
