ATTENTION TYT FANS:

Summary: Cenk talks to John Nichols of The Nation regarding his new piece . John hates the White House approach to Fox News and he thinks it makes the president look like a weak whiner (keep in mind John is a progressive who supports the president, he just hates this particular strategy). Cenk disagrees and he proposes an excellent compromise that appeals to John.

2. Every time I see John Nichols
on teevee lately he is ragging on Pres. Obama for some additional thing.

Is there something going on wherein long-time liberals have to constantly show how much farther to the left (and therefore how much cooler) they are than Obama?

Likewise on his radio appearances. I haven't heard him say anything positive about Obama in ages.

4. Well, to be fair to John with regard to your point...
I wouldn't say his argument is "further left" in this case. In fact, it's the 'moderate/centrist' position. The Obama admin is further left (which is a great change of pace).

5. I think Pres. Obama is taking the right approach he owes Faux nada. If something isn't real treat...

it so. Why play games? He says he'll go on there at some point but on his terms seems reasonable to me. OK, he mentions partisan media but partisan is one thing creating the news is something different. Pres. Obama is addressing this just right.

9. Sooner or later, Obama will have to walk into the Liar's Den
I like Cenk's proposal that he do so, only after Fox News acknowledges that they are partisan and not fair or balanced.

10. "Whiner," my sweet patooty.
Obama's taking the right approach to Fox. Often he's too much given to civility, comity, consensus, and other such soppy nonsense, but not here.

K & R!
