"The Secret of Oz" trailer - How to Fix the 2010 Depression

"The Secret of Oz" (www.secretofOZ.com) directed by award winning filmmaker, Bill Still, (1995, "The MoneyMasters).

The only fix for the economy is to eliminate the national debt -- NO MORE NATIONAL DEBT. But how can we do that? The national debt is increasing at an alarming rate. That's the secret embedded in the book version of the beloved children's story, "The Wizard of Oz".

"The Secret of Oz" has won the Silver Sierra Award at the Yosemite Film Festival and the Award of Merit at the Accolade Competition. It premiered it the Louisville International Film Festival on Oct. 2 and has won at 3 other film fests. 1. FDR was leading the country out of the depression
with deficit spending (FDR called it "priming the pump"--most of you probably don't know that when you wanted to pump water from the ground, it would come out easier if you first poured some water into the pump). The unemployment rate was going down.

Then FDR succumbed to the notion of a balanced budget, but when he stopped priming the pump, unemployment figures went up again.

That said, I was very against the Republican's tax cut for the wealthiest few early in Bush's administration. I was also against the Republican Medicare drug plan which was unfunded and also forbad competitive bidding for the price of drugs the way the VA bids for them. I wanted a single payer drug plan.

3. paying our bills would be nice but I do not think it will help the economy.
If we stop spending as the trailer suggests the entire system will collapse and then we will really be in a DEPRESSION. Just think: no social security, no health care, no social services, no pay for the military, no anything. We should start paying portions of the debt but only by ending the rich man tax cuts and go back to the level of taxation that we had prior to raygun. And most of those taxes should be aimed at those who are rich enough to be able to afford it.
