Tom "T Bone" Wolk died this Saturday of a heart attack.

Wolk was an outstanding musician best known for his decades of work with Hall & Oates and his stint with the Saturday Night Live house band. He was also a prolific studio musician/producer who worked with many great artists.

I've never been a fan of Hall & Oates, but I've always liked this song and T-Bone's wicked bass line dominates. My favorite memories are of T Bone and his friend G.E. Smith rocking the house every Saturday night during the late 80's and early nineties. In those days the Saturday Night Live house band had a brash style and outstanding musicianship that often outshined SNL's popular musical guests. Unfortunately video of those performances is hard to find.

T Bone, you will be missed.

3. Bone was a Great Man!!!

I was lucky enough to be one of his friend's and he was one of a kind. He was a musician's musician and more importantly, the type of friend who would answer the phone in the middle of the night when your car broke down and just say 'where are you' and then proceed to come to your rescue!!!

He will be sorely missed by many of us...
