This Fox News anchor appears to hold a strong disdain for "reason". So, perhaps it's time to ask: What has "reason" ever done for us?

16. Not Really...But They Wanted to...Really, Really Badly!
No, I checked the actual video from which this clip was taken: http://video.foxnews.com/v/4181707/national-day-of-prayer-debate. It is interesting that she says "...reason...." with such apparent disdain.

Another interesting bit is their abbreviation of the separation of church and state to just of church and state in the caption below the video.
I suppose that they are readying their viewing audience for the fusion of church and state.

21. Is it just me or is faux the only channel that always has women in skirts siting on a couch?
Never behind a desk.

Why?

Faux should be renamend the 24hr Basic Instinct channel.

6. Where do they find all these
borderline mental women to read the news? 90 percent look foolish and irresponsible. I hate the way they portray women as stupid and vain. An idiot would know better.

10. Won't listen to the video because I don't want to waste my time on Fox drivel,
Edited on Sun May-16-10 01:39 PM by JDPriestly
but a National Day of Reason is an excellent idea.

We also need a National Day of Science.

And while we are at it, why not a National Day of Silence?

One day when we just turn off all the noise and enjoy the sounds of creation.

11. Most of the video isn't the Fox newsditz
It's actually a nifty celebration of the things Reason has made possible.

12. to quote Jon Stewart's "America (the book)"
Chapter 1
The 17th and 18th Centuries:Enlightening Strikes

Oppression and high motality rates seemed ready to swallow what remained of mankind, when through the darkeness emerged the light that would be its salvation:Reason. It began slowly. "Hey, what if we stop storing the corpses in the drinking water and see if that makes any difference to our health?" From there it gathered momentum.

14. She says reason
the same way Guano Bleck spits out the words 'social justice'. God, hates reason and loves social injustice, according to Faux.

18. Maybe she's got a point --
if reason ruled everything she certainly would never have been given a job with such huge influence.

Besides, science shows the neural pathways go from the emotion centers to the thought centers in the brain, so reason is mainly just a way of helping us scurry around getting our insipid little emotional fixes.

But I doubt that's what she meant. She's part of the great insensate propaganda industry that gave us Ronald Reagan even though we all saw it coming for decades.

How can reason stand against something as powerful as that?
