Today on Hardball with Chris Matthews, Iraq war hawk and former soldier Mark Finelli admits that Bush's invasion of Iraq was a deliberate act of imperialism to provide a location in order to locate US soldiers in the region justified by a Saudi threat to kick out America's 20,000 troops.

He cited the book "America's Secret War" as for more reading on the subject.

4. The chicken-hawks are in meltdown, that Mark Finelli looks like

...a deer in the heads of a Hummer coming at him, top lip dripping with sweat, confused thinking, no longer have quick answers....Imperialism, that was the reason for invading Iraq and Finelli said yes. As for Tweedy, why is he only now coming out and pressing these bastards about the truth, he should have been doing that from the start.

It truly was amassing to actually hear one of these neo-Nazi idiots blurt out the truth for once. Not that they haven't done it before, but in the past it was more a form of bragging. You read PNAC "Mission Statement", they have it in writing. Now their statements are more like admissions of quilt, only they still don't seem to think that what they're doing is wrong. But yeah, if you read Rebuilding America's Defenses that PNAC put out, you'll fully understand the concept of using Iraq as a client state. So yeah, Finelli is right, that is what Iraq was mostly about.
