Sorry this is a couple days old, but this is really important stuff.

While the video is 37 minutes plus and is great, it's the first couple of stories concerning what Cenk learned in D.C. by talking off the record with some people in the know there.

It's about who writes the Bills in Congress, what kind of people become staffers for Congress (Kudos to Al Franken), and how one particular provision (Pro Banking) of Financial reform kept reappearing in the Bill every time they discovered it and removed it.

Cenk said that information from these two stories alone made TYT's trip to D.C. worth it!

Info, and reason for this post are from 0:00 to 7:35 in this video.

Thanks,

WillyT

2. The first two segments are politics/news/commentary but the third segment is entertainment.
Just a warning to those repulsed by anything entertainment related.

PS---Lots of good interviews from America's Future Now plus the Holding Congress Accountable Panel video can be seen here (and interviews with Michael Moore, Media Matters, members of congress and debates with conservatives):

9. Why is there no mention on voter suppression in Halters stronghold Garland.
Edited on Sun Jun-13-10 11:07 PM by ooglymoogly
Charles Tap has been forced to resign over this and there is talk of a job in O's admin. The suppression was blatant with only two locations open for voting where there are normally 42-48. Why is there a news blackout on this; And why the heck isn't Cenk on top of this and why isn't anybody investigating.

11. So the Fed is inserting provisions into legislation without authorization?
That's the biggest takeaway from this segment, above and beyond the permanent staffer factor that's keeping Washington screwed up. Or are they claiming it was a typo that they failed to remove the same provision several times over?

That has to be illegal. Whoever did it should be prosecuted. Even it they're low-level people, better to give them an incentive not to cover up for the higher-ups.

This is all the more reason to audit the Fed. It really needs wider circulation than it's gotten so far.
