Who knew? That's probably what got him booted by the White House.

4. Yea, he knows she can be beaten.
She seems republican-lite to me with her positions on the Iraq war, gay marriage, and plan for the health care crisis. Kucinich is the candidate I support and one of the few Dems I would support in the general election.

19. It's the primaries. We don't HAVE to
support a republican over a democrat. I'm sure we will all Vote Democrat in the primaries.

But thanks for your concern.

Edited on Sun Aug-19-07 11:23 PM by purduejake
Except I will vote for a progressive candidate in the general elections... and as far as I'm concerned, she's not very progressive.

on edit: I do currently support a Democratic candidate, but won't support Hillary. After all, she doesn't support me on marriage, peace, or health care.

Hillary "is not very progressive"? Too bad her senate record shows she is more progressive than Obama. Don't let the facts stand in your way, though. http://www.progressivepunch.org/

I think Hillary is fantastic. I also think she is a tad more liberal than she is letting on right now. I hope. She is brilliant, presidential, confident and beautiful. I honestly don't know what is up with some people around here saying they won't vote for her in the GENERAL ELECTION!?! Go ahead, stay home people. Hope you will enjoy Rudi or Mitt.x(

8. Most trusted at 28%.
That is HORRIBLE. Maybe if other candidates weren't being eliminated by the corporate media, people would realize there are better choices out there.

10. Yes, most trusted with national security.
That beats Guliani's 20%.

I agree, the media, i.e. corporations are deciding this election more than one
year ahead of the election. That is reality; that is the truth.

Who do you support for president? Have ya made sacrifices to ensure that people hear his voice?
I don't know you personally, I'm not attacking. But in order to change reality we've got to get
off our asses and do something, anything!

12. I agree wholeheartedly with you...
Edited on Mon Aug-20-07 01:18 AM by TwoSparkles
...I've never been so infuriated at a Dem candidate in my life.

Hillary had promise long ago. I agree with her on many longstanding Dem
social issues. Social issues are important, but now we're losing our
democracy and she has no passion and no plan to restore it.

While this nation sinks into catastrophe, she's got little to say. I'm sickened
that Hillary has used her power, name and status as a New York Senator, to do very little.

BushCo amasses unprecedented power, tramples over the Constitution, Habeas Corpus,
our civil rights---while illegally wiretapping us and making torture a national
policy. Bush has ensured that this the United States government is no longer,
"by the people, of the people and for the people".

And where's Hillary? Asleep? Too afraid to challenge Decider Boy?

I am outraged. How anyone can support Hillary is beyond me. She's
done nothing and said next-to-nothing about BushCo's corruption
and Fascist tactics. She did refuse to renounce her Iraq war vote and she
also stated that "war with Iran was on the table" as Junior traversed the
country saying the same thing. Disgusting.

No Hillary. No way. Anyone but her.

20. A Hillary nomination is win-win for Karl Rove
either they exploit her high negatives and she loses, or she wins and things stay basically the same.

25. Keeping Hillary in the limelight, Rove's goal. It takes away from the other candidates
Edited on Mon Aug-20-07 12:38 PM by GreenTea
seeking exposure for their ideas, platforms & publicity, while pushing Hillary front and center so she gets ALL the attention, perfect for her campaign....Rove knows this...

Publicity from Karl Rove jumping on her can only help Hillary....Rove know this....

Get real, Rove is not stupid he knows exactly what he's doing...only the Dems are as usual, dim & slow to grasp it!

The republican always three steps ahead of the Dems, want to make sure they face the weaker Dem candidate....Even the presidential loser will receive 56 million votes.

28. Travel Around ...
Edited on Mon Aug-20-07 04:37 PM by WillTheGoober
I'm not sure how much traveling folks have done on this board. But this country is very diverse.

Hoping for a candidate like Dennis Kucinich, who represents a district of a county of a state of a country is absurd. Dennis' views are Utopian -- and personally, I wish somebody like that did represent the views of this country -- and this world for that matter.

But we're asking a Democrat to win here -- and that Democrat must be able to energize people of all backgrounds and of all states and of all counties and of all districts.

Hillary Clinton is exceptionally positioned here. She is smart, she is open minded, and she is uniquely seasoned. She is the formula that it takes to break the monotony of male-rule over this country.

Reveal her health plan?
Why on earth would she do that so early? So Republicans can create an entire system around dismantling it -- around changing the language? So they can literally put into place a machine to crush it before she even has a chance? She's been through that already.

I know it's not liberal to be competitive -- but when you want to win, you have got to have a full understanding of the other guy's lineup. She does -- and she will win.

We do not need to fight amongst ourselves about this. Obama is a great cheer leader and will one day have the potential for the White House -- but when you go to the game, you go to see the star player and that is Hillary.

Peace, my friends.

PS -- I found this touching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPZs3nCIjsE

29. I support any Democratic candidate
but I donated $25 to Hillary. I think it would be great to have the Clintons back in the White House, especially with a Democratic Congress. They're a team. Bill Clinton was a great president. In spite of the Idiots (R) in Congress, things were good and the country was moving in the right direction. I was not doing well personally. I'm actually better off now financially but it's not because of Bush, but despite him. I am so sick of the Idiots that I want to support the candidate with the best chance of winning. I will even admit that of all the terrible candidates that the Idiots have propped up for us, any of them would better than Bush and Cheney. We need to win so badly in 2008. Regardless of any petty issues of which I might disagree with Hillary, I still think she is the most electable. If she loses the nomination, then I'll throw my support behind our nominee 100%.
