2. Unfortunately, Obama looks tired, passionless and perfunctory.

There is never a memorable line. There are no sound bites in this speech, like phrases about foreign domination and clever angles like that. Turn off your computer and just ask yourself without looking whether you can remember from this a single line he spoke. There is no "Ask not" type language. There are 300 million people in this country but Obama can't find a single one who can write better speeches than this.

3. Ah! Yes, but lest we forget,
it only takes the threat of a filibuster by 41 senators to kill any piece of legislation in the worlds most deliberative body of its most representative democracy.

5. There was a bygone age when if the right wing filibustered, Democrats would bring in cots

and wait out the filibuster no matter how long it took.

Not now. Now it's okay, never mind, we'll shelve it and go do something else. We'll be good little boys over here in the corner and we won't bother ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!

8. The Dems have been chirping
and wringing their hands lately about changing the filibuster rule if, alas, they can only get the votes. All they really need do is what you suggest: make the filibusterer actually do it i.e fit him with a diaper, prop him up at a lectern and let him read some Republican equivalent of "My Pet Goat" until he either collapses or throws in the diaper.

7. Next press conference with Sharron Angle in Nevada. When they are both done talking they can race
for a car. The one who loses the race has to answer press questions. XD
