confident about the House after that clip. The next best move is to advance the Senate in same direction.

3. Powerful enough to take impeachment off the table.
Powerful and worthless, unless we can find a use for dry powder.

2. Pelosi says we've got great messaging. Where is it?
It takes her to the end of the interview to mention that the GOP wants to privatize Social Security. If it were a Republican being interviewed every sentence would be bam! Bam! Bam! One attack after another, no defense at all.

This is why we are in trouble in the Fall.

I found her responses weak and practically perfunctory. I'm just so calm and pleasant and smiley. Where is the attacking, the hard hitting, the nailing of the other side?

She was very tepid in this interview.

This is the problem in our party, no fighting spirit, no attacking, no taking the war to the other side.

We are deer in headlights.

4. Pelosi was great in that interview.
It appeared to be chopped up a bit. Maybe that was just the YouTube version.

What a great interview.

5. Um, what was great about it? Anthony Wiener and Alan Grayson she sure was not.

Did you see the same video I just saw? It was, uh, we're fine!

No fight at all.

6. Pelosi has to manage the House. She has to be very careful to
nurture the horribly overdeveloped egos of the members of Congress with whom she works.

Grayson and Wiener can fight, Pelosi has to be the diplomat. She has a very strong will. That is a form of fighting too. Wiener and Grayson are great too. But do you remember how Wiener got an agreement that the public option would come up for a vote but never really enforced the agreement? What good was all the show if he couldn't make sure that the agreement was carried out. He supposedly had a deal. Why was there no vote?

8. It was my understanding at the time that Pelosi had agreed to let the bill
come to a vote on the floor. Wiener and others did not bring it up. I assume they compromised somehow. I watched that pretty carefully and was very, very disappointed. I wanted to see how my specific member of Congress would vote on it because he pretended to be pro-public option and I wondered how sincere he really was.
