Tim Wise is among the most prominent anti-racist writers and activists in the U.S. He has been called, One of the most brilliant, articulate and courageous critics of white privilege in the nation. Wises most recent book is Between Barack and a Hard Place: Challenging Racism, Privilege and Denial in the Age of Obama, which explores the issues of race within the context of the Obama presidency.

If you don't have time now, bookmark it for later. Very enlightening and I highly recommend it.

Tim Wise in this video opened my eyes to the ongoing issue of racism and white privilege in America in ways that had never occurred to me before. And I've always considered myself to be sensitive to the subject. He's a very charismatic speaker and well worth listening to.

2. It *is* long - but well worth it.

I watched it in increments just due to time constraints.

(I wonder if I can find smaller bits to post piecemeal - maybe that would help?)

3. I don't know but you could try...

If you do though, make sure you don't leave out the beginning part were he talks about the Shrimp Gumbo. It's an excellent analogy which sets the stage perfectly for the rest of what he has to say. In fact that part alone makes an excellent point.
