1. I don't understand how the governor and the AB got elected
most of the polls give the Democrats the majority in the state of Virginia. When you see that and a republican wins an office you are suspect of the voting machines. Maybe they are legal, but with all the stealing of elections we KNOW republicans do, it really makes you wonder.

2. Simple
VA Governor and AG serve 5 year terms. This time around it was majorly an off year election (2009) There were no national seats on the ballot. Less than a million people statewide turned out to vote, so we got what we deserved. Also McDonnell didn't ran unopposed in the primary whereas the Democrats had three. VA doesn't make you declare a party when you register to vote, so I believe a lot of Republicans voted in the Democratic primary. That to me explains how Creigh Deeds- the lamest of all the candidates, who had about 23% in the polls- managed to win the primary in a landslide.

And yes, when the actual election came around, it was all electronic voting machines.
