5. That's an ignorant thing to say.

As if Native Americans can't be gay. And last I checked, Native Americans can marry and have legal protections from discrimination - although it certainly still happens.

And on edit: The suffering of one minority group in no way mitigates the suffering of another. It seems rather hateful - there are many minority groups that probably deserve some form of reparations.

The sufferings of various minority groups are NOT equal, and it's ludicrous to pretend they are.

If ANYONE deserves reparations, it's Native Americans - they should get it first if anybody does. Learn your history and cure your own ignorance before you go calling anyone else ignorant.
The "Trail of Tears" might be a good place for you to start. Learning about the "battle" of Wounded Knee would also seemingly benefit you. Last I checked, GLBT folks have never been slaughtered wholesale by the US Army...

They're going to attack gays whether we fight back or not.

I have lost an apartment and a job due to being gay, so reparations seem appropriate.

9. Mormons are Despicable

Their tax advantaged status should definitely be yanked since they decided to become a political group via Prop 8. Tax advantage funded by we taxpayers is intended for good works, aid to poor, worship, prayer, etc. It is not intended for political groups.

One would think the Mormon Church would have its hands full cleaning up the mess of its polygamy, subjugation of women to lesser status, child abuse, etc.

It is disgusting that my tax dollars fund this political group.

4. Well, I think it's a good discussion to link homophobia to EXPLOITATION . . .

We have to begin to recognize and speak as if we understand that it is ALWAYS

about transferring the assets of the "other" to the elites -- based on various myths

of the others "inferiority."

Native Americans -- an entire continent

on and on --

Women, People of Color, Homosexuals --


At the end of the Crusades, so many men had died that women inherited the family wealth --

the Witch Hunts quickly followed!

7. The Money that

The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints paid out to promote prop 8 has now been for naught. The fact they were betting on this to win, and that they lost..

well maybe the only people who won was the State of California..the money was spent here.

Other than that, Californians can all thumb their noses and say...
