Summary: MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan took to the streets of New York city for a fun segment where he showed random people Cenk Uygur's name and asked them to pronounce it. Before that Ratigan reminded his TV audience that Cenk is filling in for Ed Schultz August 16th through August 20th (6-7pm Eastern, 3-4pm Pacific).

2. I thought it was pronounced "Jenk" but I hear most people saying "Chenk". Which is it?

6. That's what I thought. I thought that was right. I only knew that because of the pronunciation of
"arnavut cigeri" one of my favorite Turkish dishes...... Hmmm arnvut cigeri

Anyway, what was I saying? :+

7. It was funny last week when Tamron Hall mispronounced his
name when she introduced his hour. And then the next day she apologized and had him clarify the correct pronounciation.

I'm guessing he gets that a lot. :)

"That's not a name, it's an eye chart!" :D

22. Yeah, it's a unique name in the US.
He has a good sense of humor about it, and doesn't expect people to get the correct pronunciation right off the bat.

8. It's pretty clear that the folks at MSNBC think a lot of Cenk
You don't put together a video like that for someone who's not gonna be coming back.

9. Dylan
I applaud Dylan for being so generous towards Cenk and the YT's. MSNBC has a pretty nurturing farm team system, doesn't it?

Does this mean all those lovable Young Turks will go the way of Pete Best when Cenk goes Prime Time?

10. I like Jenk
At least every bit as much as any of those on MSNBC. He's COOL and gets right to the heart and or hypocrisy of an issue!

20. Cenk is blowing up
I like that MSNBC realizes what they have here. I guarantee, you give him a show and he will be as big or most likely even bigger than Maddow or Olbermann. The guy already has a built-in audience that's bigger than any other cable news network besides Fox and when you give him the publicity of being on MSNBC he is going to be seen by a lot of fucking people.
