Reb Zalman, who dropped acid with Timothy Leary (or Ram Dass or both, i am not sure) is the recent Wisdom Chair at the Naropa Institute (The Jack Kerouac School for Disembodied Poets)

He was rescued (or received life saving papers from) Harry Bingham when he was seventeen and was saved from the conctration camps in Nazi Vichy France.

I invite you to learn about his story and more at my youtube channel (link below) and I am hoping to interview him myself soon and upload the video to my channel (he is 86 so I need to do it soon)

In this video he talks about his meetings with the Dalai Lama and an Iranian Nobel Prize winner and Desmond Tutu and their discussions about how to Heal the World..

It is what we need right now.

7. And here's the thing! When and why do we not ask these questions and...

You know you get attacked and harassed sometimes for that touchy feely spiritual thing.

I guess by the few recs on this that people do not quite get the Jewish spiritual master - even though this is a man who escaped the Nazis, who dropped acid with Tim Leary (or was it Ram Das Richard Alpert - the Lost character namesake - or maybe both, who was an ultra orthodox Lubavitcher Rabbi with aPhD in comparative religions and was the WISDOM Chair at the Naropa Institute Shambala Sacred Warriot Jack Kerouac School of Disembpodied Poers in Boulder, Colorada in the heart of the Rocky Mountains (where I plan to interview him if he is well enough and is willing very soon).

Is it antiSemitism or just that he is an old guy who is too new agey or that people just do not have a clue.

But how cool a guy is this who hangs out with the Dalai Lama, Beat Poets, Desmond Tutu, and chants at dawn to the rising sun?

8. Sunday morning meditation. Are people here weirded out because he is a Jew

a Rebbe (which means master or teacher like guru), old or not hip enough?

Or does this just not resonate with you?
Its not "political" enough for the political crowd (which is really bs imho as this is exactly political!)
Or is it just that it is spirituality and cosmology.

Tell me why you do not rec this vid. To me he is a saint!

But I simply do not understand why there is not one rec for this man's words and wisdom.

It kind of baffles me.

I wonder....
AntiSemitism can sometimes be subtle as can disdain or discomfort with someone who is an "other" (Xenophobia).

Just asking.

I am planning to interview this man and wondered why no one sees what I see in him. I am no follower or culist or anything. He is simply and maxing man with an amazing life experience PLUS he did acid with the gurus of the 20th century in Taos. that alone deserves a rec from thos who understand what THAT means.
why?

Especially here at a place like DU....
