5. Thanks Joanne -- If only more people knew this and researched history themselves..
They would wake up and actually see the real enemy for what it is..

Perhaps they would be able to wake up and recognize the same systme that forces us into a docile mass of sheep, tehthered to the U.S. Dollar, which is created at will out of thin air to power the current unsustainable economic system.

9. Although I highly recommend this
I disagree with John Perkins that the problem does not lie with capitalism. Capitalism is fatally flawed because it relies on a few underlying false premises. The most flawed of these underlying premises is that resources are unlimited.

10. Capitalism
is a cancer on humanity.
It has spread and will eventually destroy the host (our world) but not before making us feel the agony of a slow and painful death.

16. You and Others
Mistakenly believe Capitalism, Socialism, Communism are all fixed places. In truth, the whole econmic spectrum is more represented as a dial on a radio. To get the station to tune in just right, to have the most strength so all of us can hear properly, you've got to find just the right point.

As far as the little video, it's spot-on. We practice a very right-wing capitalism, a might-makes-right kind of capitalism. We can kill you, so give us your oil, give us your silver mines, give us your diamonds, your Coltan. Iraq was clearly about oil. Most of us don't dispute it, while some might question whether government is run by corporations, clearly with Iraq and the Gulf spill, we've seen how powerful they are, and how they truly seem to run our politicians, rather than the other way around.

We've just got to turn that dial back to the left a bit, put some controls in place, so that people will be back in control, so they won't be able to kill people in hopes for profits, like in the coal mines and the oil rig explosion. Many examples have cropped up in the last years, that it'll even help them, as they seem to not even understand the damage they have done to themselves of late.

18. Err.
Actually there is a difference between the PR of capitalism which is sold to the believers and claims that there are no limits to wealth as it can be magically created and the reality of capitalism that requires a finite supply or source of a good or resource to ensure profitability.

It is all a manner of terms.

12. Thank you..
Years ago, I bought Antonia Juhasz's book "The Bush Agenda: Invading the World One Economy at a Time".. which outlined the Bush/Cheney original economic plans for Iraq..

Essentially an economic invasion..

It made such depressing reading.. knowingly putting Iraquis out of their jobs while selling off assets to the corporations.. :(

But then it is far from my field of expertise..
