It’s no secret that a lot of progressives in America are disappointed with President Obama and the elected Democratic politicians in Washington. As a result, these progressives are threatening to just stay home on Election Day this year. Not only is this anger detrimental to the Party, but it could have disastrous consequences for our country. Mike Papantonio talks with author Paul Loeb, who says that we have to get past our anger or else we could be looking at a Congress that is actually worse then the one we had during the Bush years.

1. A little dose of REALITY!
Paul Loeb nails it and hopefully the lack of comments here is not a sign those who are so mad are ignoring the cold hard truth of what could happen in November...It has only been two years!

2. Any Dem that doesn't vote because they want instant
gratification will pay a bigger price in the long run. The hole Bush has put us in will only get deeper.

3. I Agree
We can win 2010. We can use the Republicans filibustering the repeal of DADT to our advantage, for example.

4. Correct! It is sad that since Obama's Policies...
prevented another Great Depression he will not get credit for it until 20-30 years from now. What puzzles me is some on the left even refuse to see this fact or choose to ignore it in order to promote their anger at him for not doing other things they wanted done within two years.

We will all pay if the GOP & their new unwanted step child, the Tea Baggers, get into power!

Sometimes I wonder if it would have been better for the country in the long run had McCain won...The economy would be much worse & people would be hurting in far greater numbers than now & of course that would not be a good thing. However, it would have put the to rest forever that so-called "Conservative Values" are good for the country...This is what had happened when FDR came in & there was decades of prosperity afterward because the public got behind Democratic Values.

Obama would have ran again in 2012 & won by a landslide & the GOP would not be allowed to get away with voting NO on everything. We would have a PO in the HCR or maybe even Single Payer. Financial Reform would not have gotten watered down as much & the Democrats would probably enjoy decades of controlling the country helping the poor & middle class!
