American government will soon be owned COMPLETELY by corporations. They might as well have their sponsors sewn on their suits like Nascar drivers.

2. K&R! DeFazio is one of the best reps. we have out there and this piece is a warning that...

...we (as in We, The People) are in a head-to-head battle with corporate interests when it comes to the last thing they'd like to strip away from us: The right to choose our Representative government. People wanted to send Mr. Smith to Washington, but he was outspent 1,000 to 1 because a corporation had more money to throw at an election than all the constituents.

That should chill the shit out of you.

Just about every political conspiracist who's ever bent your ear with tales of corporate political manipulation has now been far-eclipsed by the reality of politics today.
