And while we're at it, privatize the police department. Women raped in the park should not be rescued unless they paid their police bill! Let them scream to death!


And while we're at it, privatize the Department of Defense!

Only offices in the World Trade Center that paid their defense bill should get protected! Let all the other offices in the building go up in smoke!

7. I just love the part where Stossel suggests if this had been

a private fire department, they would have put out the fire, then taken the guys money, but since it's "public" they let it burn. Give me a break. This is truly shameful. Is this really where this country is going? It will be if we allow the GOP to take charge.

8. That story of a fire department letting a guy's house burn down isn't the worst of it.

Privatized firefighting companies was tried long ago. It was part of fire insurance. Not only did such private companies let houses burn, they sometimes SET FIRE to non-customer's houses. They turned it into a protection racket. "Pay for our services, or your hourse might accidentally burn down. Take the hint and pay the fee, or else!" Why do you think government-run fire departments came into being?

I did like Bill-O's dig on Stossel: "With the way you look, that takes time." (Referring to Stossel spending all of his time as a young man "looking for women".)

22 out of 30 knew who he was. Only 8 (including the kids with/without accents) knew who he was. The suprise is that more kids are actually paying attention to politics.
