I don't want to leave the country I was born and grew up in, but if we elect any more "crazies" I'm gettin' outa Dodge BEFORE it's too late. Think Germany in 1933-36. I feel it is so much like 1930s Germany that it is frightening. It as if the PTB created the economic morass as a means to amass more power. I get the feeling that someone looked at the model of how the Nazis gained popularity and power in Germany and applied it to the U.S.A. When I hear the ultra-patriotism and nationalism raise their ugly heads it rings alarm bells for me.
...is that next month millions of duped blue-collars are going to vote and give the congress back to these Republicans. And then in a few years they're going to wonder where their "entitlements" went, and why they now have to work until they literally drop dead on the job. This new amped-up rhetoric to get rid of Social Security and raise the retirement age is frightening. Because we can be tricked into supporting ANYTHING.
