1. Larry breaks in to see what's on Anderson Cooper as Ellsberg is raising a huge question
about what did the Secretary of Defense know and what did the President know about torture being done in the presence of U.S. troops. Retire already Larry.

2. Why did Assange agree to go on Larry King anyway? He should have been the lead story on AC360
Edited on Mon Oct-25-10 11:14 PM by Turborama
Not the exposé of the fame hungry ex-witch, who's 5 minutes of fame will most likely be up by the middle of next week. That segment was quite good, actually. But nowhere near as good as using the leaked logs for a proper exposé of the Bush regime's illegal actions in Iraq.

This would have been a good one for Cooper to get his teeth into, for example...

7. Considering the big *yawn* the American psuedo-journalistic
community is giving the report, he must go where he can to publicize.

The report is quite an eye-opener.

8. True, but. I don't know if he had a choice or not, but if CNN wanted him badly enough
He should have insisted on AC360, which is slightly less tabloidy. I wonder which show gets more viewers.

9. Larry King. Anderson Cooper loses almost 20% of the lead in from
Larry King.

3. Ellsberg and Assange are old school heros, Ellsberg is good man, a
model for good government - one run by people not the military. Obama is just the opposite. Like Bush, Obama remains infatuated with and afraid of the military. Relying on Poindexter's total information awareness - kooks in the pentagon basement, scheming and spying, at the beck and call of their corporate overlords, threatening us all, hoping to be some sort of TV hero as they target PETA activists. Meanwhile right wing tea baggers are stockpiling weapons.

Thanks for posting this, one of the very few King interviews that is worth watching.

6. Geoff Morrell is not going to admit torture at this late date.

15,000 civilians. Motherf#ckers.

What a perfect spokesman Julian is. Low key, articulate and precise. I hope the vampires at the Pentagon are having fits.

11. Great study on media manupilation - whenever inconvinient, switch to AC
Larry is the king of short talking points. No journalism and a bad entertainment. Shame, shame, shame.
