We're back, ladies and gentleman, and just in time for The Oreo Experience to tell us about how white folks are getting screwed by minorities yet again.

1. Interesting
LOL. What are "white acting jobs'?

I do support an affirmative action concept and full ethnic diversity, and it should be made to include the ethnic majorities as well as ethnic minorities. Should minorities ever be the majority? If so then they are no longer minorities. The demographic makeup in the USA should be the target representation in Congress and the Supreme Court. The majority should not be overrepresented and neither should minorities.

Iraq under Saddam was about keeping the minority Sunnis in power. We should never allow that to occur in the USA. Affirmative action has been based upon quotas for years and it should be based upon quotas for all?

2. Quotas are not in use in the US for elctions or other employment unlike other countries
nor should they be. Merit with fair evaluation standards should always be the dominant criteria

3. The inherent problem with "merit"
is that it is all too often not subjective at all. Neither is it based upon real merit. Instead it is based upon cronyism and tribalism and the good ole boy club, and is often ethnic based.

Quotas force a semblance of balanced demographics instead of the over-representation of any single group that we now see occurring far too often.

4. Merit and fairness can be had fairly readily
Its done all the time and is easier than many think. Establish rating criteria and benchmarks and follow them. Works in both contract and hiring. BTDT and survived any and all challenges. Quotas lead polarization and the cheapening of minority achievement. Seen it with my own eyes.

The real issue is predecessor qualifications. For example there are not a representative number of minorities and women in advanced technical fields in colleges and universities. Until there are, there is no reasonable expectation of representative demographics in the leadership in those fields. Why they do not start or succeed in those fields at an undergraduate level is being actively studied. Diversity quotas actually make it worse in academia. The problem is certainly not cronyism.
