In a radio interview, Reagan Jr. states that during his youth, he had always thought religion made claims too incredible to believe, and he questioned the morality of those who professed to be Christian. Ron Jr. also questions the morality of the bible and God based on what he learned. Until age 12 he attended Sunday school (Presbyterian), and one day proclaimed to his parents that he wasn't going to go to church any longer. Ronald Sr. and Nancy didn't try to force him, though they tried to convince him otherwise. Ronald Sr. had the pastor of his church talk with Ron Jr. - years later the pastor said he was embarrased to be asked to do this. Ron Reagan wonders: if God created the universe who created God?

1. I respect him so much more than his father.

Although, to their credit, Ron and Nancy didn't force him to go to church.

"You can't strong arm people into believing."

This is a lesson Americans need to hear, including some folks here at DU.
