Alyona and Wonkette editor Jack Stuef take apart the GOP's obsession with the late, lamentable Ronnie Reagan.

1. No it is the Reagan myth that they are obsessed with, the real Reagan would have been

called a RINO and drummed out of the party by todays R supporters. Most Reagheads know nothing but the myth that the talking heads created to prop Reagan up. Notice outside of Lincoln, Teddy R was liked by liberals not so liked by conservatives, who do the R's have to show as a great leader? No one, so they created the Reagan myth to give the faithful a shinning example of a great leader, but notice they ignore that by the time Reagan's second term he was deep into the dementia.

2. Pure and simple the GOP always comes up with Candidates that

are "out there" and if not appearing out of mainstream
they cannot win a REPUBLICAN PRIMARY(Mitt) or do not
come across as real strong candidates(Pawlenty).
Therefore the the Party always goes into Reagan overdrive
everyone associating themselves with Reagan. It seems
that they think some Reagan's myth will rub off on them
and bring them over the finish line.

It does not seem a year since Gingrich and Fox were
pushing the idea that The REAGAN ERA is over. This
was to give more space for the "new conservatism"
or what I see as Right Wing Crazies.

It seems this great Conservatism is in a mess and
they hope Ronnie even though no longer with us,
can pull out a magic trick for them.
