Interfering in Libya is fantastically entertaining to them. They get their foreign adventurism with oil, AND they get to mock Obama, and damage our anti-war base.


Keep in mind how the Afghan war started. Oh, we'll just provide 'support' for the northern alliance, right? They'll bear the brunt of ground combat? How's that working out, this upcoming 10th anniversary of the war?

The CIA is already meddling in Libya. We are bombing shit to kingdom come. But you don't hold territory by bombing things. You need boots on the ground, and even given our bombardment of Gaddafi-loyalist military gear and units, the rebels keep losing ground. (and gaining, and losing again)

We have painted Gaddafi as the 'bad guy', and the rebels as the 'good guys'.

If the 'good guys' start to lose, do you think we'll just stand by? Watch?


Hell no. We'll go in. But it's nice that you'll support another undeclared war right up until we're stuck in so deep we can't get out.

A suggestion for you - Weird Liberal Head. When you're impersonating Palin, use your normal voice or have a female friend with a similar accent (to her's) help you, the falsetto you've got going in this one is tough on the ears and difficult to understand.

Not trying to put you down, I'm glad your interested and that you're trying. Just... don't use that falsetto man, it kills the whole thing.

This is constructive criticism, people. I've considered getting rid of the Palinism of the Day before, never thought about altering my (intentionally) annoying Palin voice... I'll try something new for it. :)
But seriously, in any case, that shouldn't distract from the rest of the video...

If you can handle constructive criticism - I've got a little more to add, but first...

It is often lamented that the youth in this Country aren't doing enough or even trying to do enough to encourage progress. Please keep up your work, I really think your passion is in the right place. I'm not as young as you - but young enough that I remember what it felt like to be scoffed at by many of my elders when I became old enough to vote. You aren't the first to take this road - it'll be a painful process, but worth it in the long run. Your work, while very amateur, still demonstrates an interest in politics and a passion for progressive change in the world. Thanks for that, I mean it. Thanks for talking about things that matter and inspiring others to share in the conversation.

Now... some suggestions. (I'm not a professional here, these are my opinions as a viewer)

Rehearse first (if you don't already). Find someone (or a group) that isn't biased either particularly for or against your ideas and have them review your video before getting it out there. They will probably have suggestions - some times you'll face constructive criticism, a lot more often it will simply be people laughing at you (not with you) who don't have particularly kind or constructive criticism. Take it, but don't take it personally. Easier said than done - but if you want this to accomplish something with this, you've got to be able to do it.

Your distance from the camera is also important, you want viewers to be able to see your face and your eyes for the most part, but not so close that they feel crowded. A little step back, perhaps hold up some documents at various points throughout your video - for reference and to show you're backing up what you say.

Practice frequently. You strike me as being nervous and viewers pick up on that - generally they don't like it. I'm a nervous person myself so I know it's not easy to do something like this. Practice until you feel comfortable with what you're saying. It will be dull and repetitive, but it will help a great deal, even if at times it feels silly.

Overall, I'll be frank... I didn't like it. Rome wasn't built in a day though, it takes time and effort to accomplish anything meaningful. I still respect and appreciate your passion and your honest attempts. Don't give up - just keep at it. I watched the video and will review any I see from you in the future.

Listen to the advice given above. Its good advice.

As for the war, I don't support even limited involvement. Each precedent we set is just another step for invasion. The rebels are getting their buts kicked at the moment. Bombing can only do so much.

The point is we've crossed the line. If the rebels lose, the coalition has a choice to make.
Save face and invade.

Face the wrath of Gadafi triumphant. Europe did not want to enter this fray. Their hand was forced by the US and NATO. All of Libya's oil was sold to the EU. Now every deal he has made with thos countries is off. and he is not above using oil to exact revenge. Suddenly we have a "war for oil."

Things can get out of hand really easy in this situation.

I'm of the opinion that the rebels have already lost. Why? Because we never armed them.
If a country is going to support a revolution, it.needs.to.arm.the rebels. Talking heads in the President's Administration are saying, "No. We will not arm the rebels." WHY NOT?!!

It is my opinion that this entire affair is screwed up by incompetent advisers from the get go.
and unless things turn around it will doom President Obama in 2012.
