3. I do not have fond memories of Charles Woo.

He set up shop in the warehouse district in downtown Los Angeles and aggressively imported toys from China back in the late 1980s through 1990s.

He probably did as much as any small businessman in this country could to implement the importation of Chinese trash stuff to the US.

He rented space in the low-rent Skid Row are and then actively worked to "clean it up" -- meaning trying to end the horrible influx of homeless Americans to the area in the wake of the Reagan recession and the push to open our markets to the "free trade" invasion of cheap stuff from anywhere and everywhere.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I do not recall that he was particularly interested in supporting American jobs or workers back then. I don't recall that he was very sympathetic to the plight of the miserable homeless people who slept on the streets just blocks from his place of business. Maybe I am wrong about that, but that is my subjective memory of the fact.

So, I have better things to do that to look at a video featuring Charles Woo.

Here he is attending a state dinner in the White House for Chinese dignitaries.
