The technically and legally complex nature of election integrity work, along with corporate control of the media, makes it challenging for those of us working in this field to achieve the mass attention the quality of our work and the importance of our mission merit.

Yet every organization that urges its members to “vote the bums out,” every organization that wants to use the initiative process or the legislative process to achieve its goals, every human being and every part of the ecosystem whose existence will be adversely affected by corporate control desperately needs us to succeed in our work. Because meaningful elections that actually measure the will of the voters are the only tool short of revolution that can stop the corporate takeover of the commons now occurring.
