US President Barack Obama says America needs to be more fiscally responsible. Ironically, Mr. Obama is also calling for an increase in national debt ceiling. Currently, the country is more than 14-trillion dollars in debt. According to the congressional budget office, nearly 200-billion dollars of interest was paid out to public debt holders in 2010. With its own accounting is such disarray, many say America has lost legitimacy to lead the world on economic issues.

1. The rich have plenty of money.

Just go to the wealthy enclaves of LA and you will see how well off they are.

So, it is not a matter of being broke. It is a matter of requiring the rich individuals and corporations to pay higher taxes to cover government debt.

Further, the US needs to exit from the trade deals that have destroyed our industrial base.

China complains about our debt but conducts a trade war to undercut our prices. So does India as do aome other countries. Let them buy more of their own products. Let them buy more of our products.
