3. "Speak like a Dem, act like a Republican"

President O has always made pretty speeches with stuff
progressives want to hear...it's his actions we need to
watch...
just as with Dubya, watch his hips, not his lips.

After just one speech of this caliber, progressives
still need to hold his feet to the fire on a whole
range of issues, not just the budget.

I agree. Obama just caved on the budget. He's enormously popular, has the bully pulpit, and is a coward. I won't vote for him in 2012. Please don't tell me that a Republican will win if we don't get out the vote--Obama IS a Republican. I don't have to recite all his broken promises; they're all over the Internet. I just wrote the White House yesterday to convey my thoughts. Obama is Wall Street's Porch Monkey. While I despised Reagan's politics, I admired his ability to forge a vision and sell it to the American People. Obama could have done the same if he had cajones....
