President Obama said that Gaddafi's regime was going to cause a bloodbath in Libya. Professor Alan J Kuperman of the University at Texas argues, however, that the president's claims were exaggerated and that the civil war should be over by now. One month after they intervened, NATO and the US have not put an end to a war that otherwise would have resolved itself.

Gaddafi IS causing a bloodbath right now.

There are two videos purportedly taken off dead Libyan soldiers - that show the enormous amount of weaponery that was heading to Benghazi. There has not been a collection of arms against any other town than what was assigned to Benghazi. It was blown up by NATO at the 11th hour.

What he's essentially saying is that as long as Libyans sit down, shut up, and accept Ghaddafi's dictatorship, they won't be killed. And to him, apparently, that's perfectly reasonable. Obama's the real villain here for 'prolonging the suffering.'

6. We should have learned from the Bay of Pigs.

We trained up a bunch of rebels, landed them on the island, and when they declared their own beachhead government and requested full US support ... well ... it didn't work out due to a US change of plans (and a complete failure of Cubans to rise up against the evil Dr Castro).

If we would have gone all-out in Cuba and slaughtered the Castro forces and their supporters (a vast majority of Cubans, btw) then those poor Cubans wouldn't have had to suffer all of that soshulizm and universal health care and education programs and such, that the Castro brothers built singlehandedly.
