13. No, they are MERCENARIES.
A terrorist is somebody else's freedom fighter, a mercenary is just the scum of the earth with not a single redeemable quality no matter from which angle you tackle them.

3. This concept of privatized armies should have been stopped long ago --- Democrats . . . ?????
What a filthy idea all of this is --
and the bit of propaganda that if Blackwater was pulled our troops would have to "pick up the slack" . . . . cute!

No -- if we weren't hiring mercenaries we would have to stop brutalizing our own troops and perhaps draw in more volunteers -- but not for warmongering by Bushco -- and expanding destruction all over the planet.

4. It was good to see the brother sound off...
...against the slime who started his remarks with (paraphrasing) "...but some people just want to make millions by suing Blackwater".

Gaak, what a morally reprehensible remark that was. I am so glad that he was not able to get in another word, due to the brother's visceral reaction -- that was great.

9. Do you really think that's what she was referring to?
Edited on Mon Oct-01-07 10:33 PM by Seabiscuit
I don't think so. The context was *American* history - the history of *our* military, not Great Britain's.

And what private contracting firm, to your knowledge, got paid handsomely by the British government to supply mercenaries in the revolutionary war?

8. It is (typical Fox) nonsense.
The militia in the revolutionary war were not mercenaries working for a private contracting company being paid huge sums by the government.

14. This is all over the net.
I’m afraid I can find little sympathy for these swashbuckling cowboys.
I think they have caused much of the hatred the Iraqi people have for
the American occupation and the American deaths so far through their war crimes.
They are without a doubt, Mercenaries, Nothing more nothing less.

This is a Cheney and Rumsfeilds wet dream, Don't be surprised if one day they are
used against us, The American people.

But in their defense this piece was a set up, But anyone who watches FixedNews should know that.
