Daily Kos: Keith Olbermann explains how to stop O'Reilly ambush
Post by BruinKid
Mon Oct 01, 2007

So tonight, Keith gave us some handy tips on how to defend yourself should you become a target of Bill O'Reilly's stalker-producers trying to ambush you.

He went through several scenarios that would NOT work. Using intellectual arguments, while nice-sounding, won't cut it. Launching into a diatribe gives BillO exactly what he wants to paint you as an left-wing loonie extremist that's a danger to America.

No, you must be prepared with three simple words to keep in mind:

Malmedy
Mackris
Loofah

Bring up one of those things, or even a combination of them, and you have rendered the video footage useless for O'Reilly to use! Voila!!

1. Damn, he's gotten funny!
But I still prefer Solution 2, where you physically attack the little schmuck with the camera.

See, I've seen so many of these ambush interviews, and the ambushee always runs or acts defensive. It is a crappy technique, all too common among journalistic whores. And it never really deters them.

Strangling the wimp warrior - or delivering some well-deserved kicks to him - is much more satisfying.

Oh, what was that? When the cameraman gets up, he'll go to the police and Fox's lawyers to sue? Gee. I guess that just means fixing things so the cameraman never gets up again...

5. How about....
...using this in response: 'Tell me son, is your momma and daddy proud of the fact that you've become one of Bill O'Reilly's butt-boys?...and if you don't get that damn microphone out of my face, you're gonna have more than just Bill up there.'
