The Oversight Committee holds a hearing, "Assessing the State of Iraqi Corruption." The hearing is to evaluate the status of corruption in the Iraqi government and whether U.S. government efforts to address this continuing problem have been adequate. Judge Radhi Hamza al-Radhi, who recently resigned in frustration with the Iraqi government's stifling of his anti-corruption work, gives opening testimony.
