Well, OK, I don't actually believe that publicly, as an official policy position. Emotionally, on the other hand, I would favor doing something like that.

4. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

It would've been more interesting (and perhaps less depressing) to see everyone they interviewed to get an idea of proportion. Surely there were people they talked to that weren't complete morons and actually could answer their questions.

The end was horrible. "If says it, I believe it." Those people are hopeless.

5. It's a shame how much these people don't know

but I'm sure they asked like 100 people and edited it down to those with all wrong answers.

My history teacher in highschool was once approached by this kind of on-the-street interview and said that they were very crafty in how they asked the questions, then when she saw it on tv, they edited it down to the one question out of 30 that she got wrong. She said that she got it wrong because of the way they asked the question. I wish I had more details but this was like 13 years ago.

That said, I must admit that on a daily basis most of the people I encounter don't know much about anything, let alone politics. I live in center city philadelphia... lots of educated and debonair(looking) people around here and most of them don't know shit. Once in awhile I'll find some hipster who knows a lot about one particular issue but can't tell me any more details than ones they were fed on MTV.
