1. Great rant, Dylan. I agree with much of what you are
Saying.

However, Obama is so complicit with the Wall Street money people that he would soon be open to impeachment. Because anyone who feels threatened by this tactic (And most everyone on Wall Street would feel threatened by this,) would come forward with all the many insider deals that have plagued this nation during the final fifteen months of the Bush Presidency, and from the moment that Obama opened his mouth on Sixty Minutes, last week of November in 2008, to let his handlers know all was well and okay, as he, Obama thought that "Hank is doing a good job." ("Hank" being Hank Paulson.)

Geithner is of the same demon cloth as anyone that Dylan might want to point a finger at. And Geithner was Obama's appointment, and has an office right down the hall from the Oval Office.

So how in hell could Obama suddenly come out and renounce the things Dylan is suggesting he renounce? The President would have to be willing to step aside and let some decent human take his place. (Though off the top of my head, the only decent people I can think of are Bernie Sanders of Vt, Elizabeth Warren, and Neal Barofsky. Most of the rest of them are so bought out that they make the last "Communist" rulers of Romania look like saints.)

2. Love him or hate him, Ratigan is speaking the truth in this rant...
And it has to be Obama because the other people on the other side are either bat shit crazy or so corrupted that they are powerless to change anything.

3. "Me & my children"??? Shouldn't it be me, my children, and my parents, GEEEz
WTF do we old folks have to do to get some inclusion in the concerns about the future.

That said, he seems to be advocating a deficit issue solution when what we need is more stimulus regardless of the deficit. The deficit will continue to grow unless and until people get back to work and steady, good paying incomes. So he just wrong about the solution required for him, his children, and HIS PARENTS, but he's right about the Repubs being obstructionists and the Dems kicking it down the road.

8. I couldn't listen past ignoring us aging parents and the usual deficit hawk
stuff. I just didn't keep listening. If he says something else later then I'd turned it off completely. I just can't even listen to deficit hawks anymore. Perhaps I'm assuming that's what he meant, but from previous listening to his show, I gave it about 5 tries, he's too worried about raising taxes on the rich in order to pay off the deficit, ...

WHEN WHAT WE NEED IS RAISING TAXES ON THE RICH IN ORDER TO RE-HIRE AMERICANS TO WORK ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE LIKE, and worry about the deficit after we all have a chance to worry about taxes again, instead of the job that might allow us to pay them.

6. Do you ever wonder why Obama doesn't speak the truth to Americans?
When Obama was on the campaign trail in 2008, in his descriptions of problems and in explaining his solutions, he gave very clear, very truthful answers. His speech on race was so spot on, it was what made me vote for him in the end.

But now he uses mostly right-wing, conservative, talking-points to describe what is happening in the economy. Oh, once-in-awhile, he will throw out a liberal thought or two using vague words and never identifying the true culprits. What Obama says about the economy today, could have easily been said (possibly using different terms but with the same meanings) by the RepubliCON President Herbert Hoover in 1931. Mostly he describes the economy using words like "free trade" "deficit spending cuts" "Cut Taxes to create jobs" "Free Trade Agreements create jobs" "Shared Sacrifice" "Privatization" and other such nonsense.

So why wont he speak the truth? Why wont he admit that without a huge middle class America with good paying jobs there is no chance of a recovery? Why does he spew forth all sort of right-wing babble and rarely address the real problems of this United States?

7. Blackmail?
His tune changed so much when he got in, it almost felt like he was threatened with something. A president needs to come in clean, but to get to the presidency there is a lot of temptation. Imagine if he had an affair and it was recorded. To lose both your family and lose them while president would be heavy fear indeed.

Or maybe he just was never who he portrayed himself as and he exagerated and was less than honest about who he really is? Would not be the first time...

9. blackmail?
I think the late comedian Bill Hicks has Obama's deal figured out:

Of course, I think Bill died before Obama was even elected? But, if you believe in the invisible hand of "the powers that be", it does seem plausible, don't it?
