So I imagine Colbert set up that little skit with the mini-Colbert singing vote for Dennis, does this mean Colbert is backing Kucinich?

Smart guy that Colbert.

15. I think most who would watch Colbert already know DK's political stances,
and to try and articulate them (or one or two) in a serious manner in a four-minute spot would probably not come off as well as the "schtick" he did.

Showing his sense of humor was a better use of the time.

9. I remember reading that PD article.
It was really funny. Dennis has an awesome sense of humor.

I miss our old hairstylist. He did Dennis's hair when he was mayor, and Dennis would often make sure to stop in and say hi when he could. He did Voinivich's hair, too, and the Cleveland Ballet and the opera company, too, sometimes. I miss him. He had the best stories.

I've never seen the show (except for occasional YouTube clips), but I heard him interviewed recently on National Petroleum Radio. He talked about how he injured his wrist and deliberately inflated its national and international significance.

58. I have to say, though...
Its not really a "sadly."
The WristStrong thing is more than a gag.
All the proceeds from the sale of the bracelets go the The Yellow Ribbon Fund, an organization that provides support to injured service members and their families while they recuperate.

So, no, its not an impeachment bracelet, but its still a good thing! :)

60. he's actually wearing
a wrist awareness band(due to his recent broken wrist)

the plan is to issue them to his guest who are instructed to pass them to people that are more famous than them to move them up the awareness chain - you can see them occasionally - brian williams, katie couric, etc. - who think they are going along with colbert's joke but it appears they are wearing impeachment bands - genious

63. A gold star mother is running against him
She is pretty cool, and I used to respect her a lot. But her lines against Dennis are the same old lines that are untrue lies. She says that Dennis is an outcast amongst Dems (if thats the case I might as well give up now and join the Greens). She says that he doesn't do enough for his district. He is very responsive when people call his office. The one thing he doesn't do is to try to get little pieces of the federal pie (graft) to our district. I respect him for that. He is concerned about national issues. That's why he is our congressman, and not our county commissioner.

She also says that his running for president is a waist of money and time, but I disagree with that. I need to hear a candidate that tells the truth. That is what helps me build up the momentum to support the Corporate Dem I will eventually have to vote for in the general presidential race.

I have a Masters in Spanish Lit and one we studied was Miguel de Unamuno. He's the great Generation of '98 in Spanish literature. He was a great thinker with whom I identified at several levels. To know that Kucinich knows of him is plain cool, for lack of a better word. Great skit!

64. The war is only absurd due to your viewpoint
Bush and the others never had any intent to bring peace to the middle east- they only wanted to make a land grab under the guise of "saving the world."

If you had asked me if it were possible to get away with such a thing 7 years ago, I would have called it both absurd AND impossible. It happened, though, and no one has been brought before any court regarding it.
