Police in Los Angeles have cleared one of the last and longest-standing 'Occupy' camps in the U.S, making 300 arrests in the process. These latest arrests bring the total across the whole 'Occupy' movement to almost 5,000, but now police are starting to defect to the other side. Our correspondent Marina Portnaya has been finding out why some people have been choosing to make history instead of making arrests.

If we have any hope of reaching the cops we need to remain on as good as terms possible. Sure, we are going to chant at them and whatever. But, we do at times have conversations with them and ask them questions to at least think about.

Oh and we chant "Who do you serve, who do you protect." as they tear down our tents.

4. RT is one of the best news networks on cable. I can no longer

watch the MSM and if we could cancel them I would. They do the kind of coverage we used to wish we would see on the MSM and have on guests that you realize have been excluded from our media, like Amy Goodman eg.

I don't know if you have it on your cable lineup, but it's worth getting if you can.

6. Adopt A Cop should be the new tactic for every occupy.

Each Occupy person should have a cop that they're near, physically. Then learn their names and badge numbers, chat them up about all kinds of stuff that affects everyone's lives -- like jobs, pensions, health care, the future for their kids and grandkids. It can bridge a disconnect, help the cops refuse to obey orders to simply protect property.
