1. One other aspect of atheism that is not like a religion

is that no one atheist speaks for all other atheists. Such as this guy does not speak for me. The brush strokes he uses would be able to paint an entire house in two strokes they are so broad.

3. i'm very close to being atheist but

I still think there are things we don't understand and may never understand about reality. So I can't be 100% atheist.

I don't see how that is in contradiction with atheism in the general sense. Indeed that is the most basic reason to be skeptical of anybody or any organization that claims to have answers to the things that are inherently unknowable, especially when those supposed answers are entirely a product of human imagination and not supported by any observable fact.
