Does this make any sense to anyone? Why go through these steps when they could just give the information they were prepared to give?

1. Why doesn't the mis-admin just put a hypnotist on tv to tell us what to believe?

These people are such phonies. Former members of FEMA know exactly why. When Bush came in in 2001, his new FEMA people kept asking "How did you manage to get such good press for FEMA on the disasters you covered?" Ans: "Well, we took good care of the victims and people in need." The new Bushies in FEMA refused to believe it. They insisted it was all about appearance and spin. That's pretty indicative of how they were going to perform their duties -- everything is about spin, not helping anyone.
