Gov Bill Richardson endorses the "Why Tuesday" organization which promotes greater access to voting for all. Richardson said that he would push through legislation making election day a federal holiday. He attacked Repugs for suppressing the minority vote. He mentioned a case where Repugs were using phony calls directing minorities to the wrong polling place. He was part of the press conference with Democratic leaders calling for an investigation of the practice.
