This is Hillary's 2 minute video that will be on every Iowa TV station during tonight's 6PM news.

I understand that 2 minutes is a lot to ask, but I myself have listened to the arguments of every singl candidate multiple times. Don't you think you owe Mrs. Clinton that much?

My opinion and my commitment has been based on seeing all the candidates here in New Hampshire and viewing as many of their videos and news clips as possible. I have not based my decision on the opinions of other bloggers or what the MSM try to tell me I should believe.

Please listen to the woman then make up your own mind.

I thought that was Obama...? AND Obama's vote as a U.S. Senator was in support of confirming Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State. He also voted to confirm John Negroponte as Director of
National Intelligence, despite Negroponte's involvement in Iran-Contra and other situations that clearly raise questions about his ethics and discretion. Obama also
voted for a bill to limit citizens rights to seek legal redress against abusive corporations. During the bankruptcy debate, he helped vote down a Democratic amendment
to cap the abusive interest rates credit card companies could charge. And now, Obama cast a key procedural vote in support of President Bush's right-wing judges.A

BIG Lieberman supporter..

OH...HAVE YOU SEEN OBAMA'S ATTACK AD ON HRC AND JE....REAL GOP OF HIM!

I just have a hard time listening to her and not feeling like she's going to do less than she leads on. What sucks is, I'll vote for her, but I know that my brother's union guys will never vote for her - they hate her and sadly, my brother's a mod dem and he won't vote for her, so that right there is a vote for either - no vote, Giuliani or, Bloomberg (he likes him) if he were to run.

Best wishes Hill.

9. it's a good -- and courageous -- clip.
Good -- actually better than good --, because she chose to speak, via this ad, straight to you with no bells and whistles. An experience like one would have if they were speaking to her, one-on-one.

Courageous because, well, she chose to speak, via this ad, straight to you, the viewer, with no bells and whistles. No soaring music, no fancy editing. Straight through with no edits, one take.

Oftentimes candidates hide their message -- and who they are -- behind the soaring music, the edited rhetoric, the quick glance at the "excited crowds" sitting in rapture listening to the message all in an effort to manufacture a sense of excitement. Perhaps to engender an "I want to caucus with the cool kids" hope? Who knows.

Hillary was one-on-one, very personable, clear, concise, glimpses of sincere humor and very, very good.

And I couldn't help contrasting this ad with Huckabee's recent pheasant hunting demand for votes ("vote for me and live; don't vote for me, you die"). I understand that Democrats support their candidates for a variety of good reasons, but I'll never completely understand Republicans.

18. If one were to go back 30 years ...
and listen to candidates make promises they'd be exactly what HC is saying - and the only thing that's changed is the problems have gotten worse.

As far as I'm concerned the Clinton's had their chance and under their so-called leadership the same behind the scenes powers that be simply continued to screw the hell out of us. And how anyone can want to continue to believe the bullshit being spewed by this dynasty queen is beyond me. Fool me once, but over and over again?

Then there's the issue of her funding which pretty much tells me that it's not our interests she'd have at heart, and her support for every aspect of the illegal war and occupation, making her more of a bush-light candidate than any of the others again puzzles me as to how any reasonable person can consider her.

But the fact that out of 330,000,000 people the best we can do is have only two families represent us is ludicrous on it's face. Are we that stupid to believe that there couldn't be others not so beholden to the MIC to represent us than this?

If you want to continue with the status-quo and watch this country slide faster into the imperialist hell, war-mongering nation we've turned into and contribute to our down-fall, than by all means, vote for HC - me - I wouldn't spit on her if she were on fire.

Hillary just rides the fence on every issue. I guess she believes that real Progressives don't care about the issues and that she can flip flop around like her husband did in the 90's. Well I am here to tell ya, she isn't her husband and she isn't as smart as he was, and also she has the internet to deal with now so people are gonna call her on the issues. Can anyone here really tell me where she stands on any issue, because I can't? We know all to well who and what she really is. She is the corporate, industrial complexes candidate planted in the Democratic party and she is for all the same shit Bush is for and I am not being fooled by it and anyone in the Democrat party that votes for an establishment candidate is a dummy.

100. Because it is indefensible and it is easier to call those of us who
won't vote for her names. That is one slick ad and she does sound great and look wonderful but who cares when there is no substance behind it. Hillary will never fight for the average citizen and those who believe differently are kidding themselves. All one has to do is look at her voting record, the people she has surrounded herself with on her campaign and her contributors to know where Hillary comes from. I am continually amazed by the otherwise intelligent women who have willfully blinded themselves to the real Hillary, I can only assume, in their desire to have a woman president. I too yearn for a woman in the White House but not an imperialist, corporatist, war hawk.

Peace,

freefall

P.S. I watched the entire ad and have read and listened to many of her speeches. I have also researched her voting record which many of her supporters here on DU appear to have ignored or at least have no explanation for.

Iraq War - voted to go and fund.

Patriot Act - voted in favor.....twice.

Kyl-Libermann (Iran War) - voted in favor.

Walter Ried scandal - had no voice, despite sitting on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Her voting record says it all...........want more?

Biggest recipient of funds from the Pharma Industry in the Democratic Party.

Not to mention............a presidency held by two families for 20+ years isn't a Democracy. What would you call a government run by the same two families for that long if it were in another part of the world?

And have we forgotten that she is married to a president who was impeached? What does that say about how she plays the political fence? She is still married to a man who found it O.K. to LIE TO THE ENTIRE AMERICAN PUBLIC!!! Should we not be drawing parallels?

(I personally like Slick Willy, and appreciate what good he did while president. But I'm of the opinion that if you lie to the American Public, about anything, your ass should be impeached. With no pay or benefits.)

Shallow? How old are you? We can then compare how many years of campaigning we have between us. Some of us are moderates and we approve of Hillary and her views. You don't like her? No problem, vote for someone else and don't bother us who like her and her views on the issues.

54. That's just plain scary.
What I like about Edwards is he is fierce when he speaks,
and if he has a script he knows it by heart, and seems to
believe what he says.

Damn that corporate control! Time to take back the
land. Bring the troops home in 10 months. Enough!

58. I hear what she says
but I cannot lose this nagging feeling that she's saying what she thinks I want to hear. I've not moved off my choice of Obama, the whole Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton sequence disturbs me. We've had either a Bush or a Clinton on the national ballot since 1980, can't we do better than just pick people from two ruling families?

75. It did make her look better than usual, I agree.
I watched it, as the OP requested, and she talks real nice, too - it's a nice commercial. It's unfortunate that I can't seem to believe much of what she says, no matter how it's packaged.

I don't understand people getting all excited about a commercial, or someone reading lines to a speech somewhat impassively, but, hey, to each their own.

62. Carefully listened to every word...
And am not convinced she is the best choice. Dennis Kucinich most closely matches my priorities and values but he is a long shot because the MSM has done an excellent job of marginalizing him and excluding him from broadcast coverage. The next most closely matched candidate is John Edwards. If I can suspend my suspicions that he says what we want to hear instead of saying what he will truly do, then he is the best choice for America. All I can say is, if John Edwards becomes President, and does half of what he says he will, and has the good sense to include Dennis Kucinich in his administration, then maybe there will be some meaningful progress toward restoring our Nation's Democracy.

and tough and fights for important issues that matter to Americans. You look at her voting record rather than suggest that is needs defending.

I wouldn't mind seeing her in court at the Hague next to Bush, Rummie and Cheney for abetting the illegal invasion of Iraq, though. Reserve a spot for Lieberman, too, please.

But not president.

Good presentation as a lawyer who wants to be a CEO of a company who wishes to lobby for her.

82. It's very well delivered, and her words sound encouraging.
Unfortunately, I have trouble belieiving that she says. She takes big bucks from the pharmas and the insurance industry and tells me she'll get insurance to every American?
I'd like to believe you, Hillary, but I'm just not seeing it.
You'll bring our troops home?

look, just because i don't support hillary and find her difficult to trust, that suddenly makes me an obama supporter or (failing that meme) a Nader/Dennis supporter?

112. Thanks, New Hampster
I listened to the two minutes. I don't trust her at all. She said, "Help me change America." She's not really interested in leading the American people as much as she's interested in us supporting her political career.

Any real change in America will come from the people, organized, working together, collectively bringing about the changes that benefit us all, in spite of the capital-intensive lobbying special interest groups that are trying to put a pretty face on fascism.

Wake up.
