They really to have nothing but contempt for the public. They think we're all as dunb as those who voted for Bush in '04!

6. Why shouldn't they think they can get away with it?
Who is going to call them out?

The one possibility is KO. He MIGHT be persuaded to show Fox Noise up for what it really is, but none of the other "established" media will try. A handful of people will know of Luntz's duplicity, but most viewers will assume he's the leading edge of truth.

America's mainstream media IS the problem. It always colludes with the wingnuts.

of FAUX viewers WON'T notice, and that's what FAUX relies upon. Just because a few sharp-minded individuals catch them in their dirty deeds doesn't mean the average FAUX viewer, with the attention span of broccoli, will. They don't care if they get caught because no one will ever hear about it anyway.

Who is "CHUCK"? - Here's another LINK to more of the VIDEO, and to comments from a FELLOW PANELIST (one that, unlike "Chuck" was ignored by Luntz):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrpES1Lk7X4

I was doing a Google search to try to document where these clips were made, etc:

It appears that the September 5, 2007 Luntz panel was commenting on the September 5, 2007 New Hampshire Republican debate, so the issue of different states may not be accurate.

This is still a powerful indictment of the staged propaganda put out by Fox, Luntz, et al on a daily basis.

It appears that "Chuck" may have been initially exposed by a Paulite by the name of Chris Brunner (apparently the Youtube poster "Check86"), who was inspired by the experience of another Paulite, Jane Aitken, who was sitting in the back of the original 9-5-07 focus group at the Merrimack Restaurant in Manchester, NH, near "Chuck", until Luntz had "Chuck" come up to the front to televise his pro-McCain comments.

Here's an excerpt of Ms Aitken's comments:

"You will see this 'Chuck' character who was originally sitting with ME in the back UNTIL LUNTZ PUT HIM UP FRONT WHEN HE STARTED DEFENDING MCCAIN WHO WAS LUNTZ'S CHOICE FOR WINNER THAT NIGHT. When he says there is nothing wrong with McCain, that's my head just above his, (dark hair) showing my disgust. I had already expressed the opinion that McCain was mentally unstable WHICH I DID NOT FEEL BADLY ABOUT SINCE LUNTZ TOOK EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO SHOOT DOWN RON PAUL. Chuck admitted to me that he PARTICPATES IN THESE GROUPS ALL THE TIME."

(emphasis is Ms Aitken's)

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/22221

and Ms Aitken's entire post: http://www.dailypaul.com/node/22221

So it looks like the charge of misrepresenting "Chuck" to come from 2 different states is not substantiated, but it appears that these 2 "focus groups" are far from the only ones he has participated in, as he does it "all the time", and that this Frank Luntz REGULAR, was then hand picked to be featured on Luntz's Fox "News" report.

For Luntz or Fox to make any claim that his focus groups are anything other than staged propaganda appears preposterous.

He does a great job of acting "undecided" touting McCain in one & Romney in the next.

It would be nice for someone to find out who this stooge "Chuck" actually is, what ties he has to the Republican propaganda machine, and his past history.

A little more solid data on this (semi- or fully-?)professional "undecided focus grouper" propaganda actor might be enlightening.

Anyone in New Hampshire recognize this fellow?

____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____

UPDATE:

Perhaps he is the voter cited by this McClatchy Newspapers release, here in the Seattle Times:

Chuck Tarr, a federal worker from Nashua, said he was for McCain until watching him closely in a Saturday debate. "I didn't like his attitude," Tarr said of McCain. "It was too mean-spirited. He kept whining about Mitt. A candidate should be able to stand on his record." He's now for Romney.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2004110753_webcampaign06.html

So maybe Luntz's propaganda is not as nefarious as first impression. (Perhaps Luntz just likes to stick with his frequent fliers.)

I don't know if the one I posted was from 2 different states or not, I'm glad that you posted this to make it clear. Still, it does make the Luntz focus groups questionable.

Thanks!

17. Things like that get to be symbiotic.
"Chuck" figures out what Luntz wants to hear and says it.

Luntz hears what he wants to hear and rewards people by putting them up front.

Luntz knows better than this. If he was interested in objectivity, he would guard against a feedback loop like that. Instead, he enables it. This is clear proof of that.

From Fire Dog Lake:

http://firedoglake.com/2008/01/07/ron-paul-supporters-confront-frank-luntz/

Seems to me that with Luntz/Goebbels history of passing staged propaganda off as journalistic reporting of "focus groups", that the public could really benefit from a video expose of exactly what goes on in a Luntz "focus group"

How on earth did Luntz, a paid GOP linguistic psychologist (The fellow who changed privatizing Social Security into "personal" accounts, and the fellow who gave a handbook to GOP politicians telling them NEVER to discuss Iraq without first mentioning "9/11" -- (Here's the PDF of the Luntz produced GOP linguistic manual - http://www.zephoria.org/lakoff/files/Luntz.pdf )........ How on earth did this professional propagandist ever succeed in passing himself off as a journalist?????

42. I don't think Luntz does know any better. Seriously--
He still plays the "I'll help the Democrats, too, if they'll just pay me for it" then publicly sulks because we refuse to.

He's done it on the tweety and Maher shows more than once each.

Like rove, he isn't half as clever as he thinks he is.

15. You know, I was just thinking this last night.
I was imagining the lines going around, and somebody complaining about having to assert that Mitt Romney was more believable in his pro-life stance than Mike Huckabee.

The flip-flopper more believable than the Baptist preacher on pro-life issues.

LOL! Luntz is whacked.

18. I'll cross-post this from a thread in GD last night: Only Luntz's recurring database can say...
for sure, I wouldn't put it past him...

he's stacked every other deck in the RW house, and he's not about to offer failure as a product to his 'clients' by way of screening from unbiased pools of participants, it's all in the screening process...

"Do you vote?"

"Yes."

"Are you a registered Republican, or an Independent?"

"No."

"You may, or may not qualify for this session. May we contact you for any future focus groups we may conduct?"

"Yes."

"Thank you for your time." click!

28. When Luntz focused grouped after a Dem debate
He introduced the group as undecided voters. Plenty of them indicated in their comments that they'd made a decision before the focus group. There were maybe four Hillary supporters out of a group of 30 and they were seated way in the back where one could hardly see them. Luntz invited attacks against Hillary with every question but one and called on the people who didn't like Hillary. One Hillary supporter got to make one comment and Luntz cut her off.

This video of a dual participant is fantastic. I hope this story spreads and Luntz gets caught.

38. Spent the weekend in New Hampshire
and nailed the propagandist Luntz twice. The first time was at an event with Bill Clinton. I asked The Master of Language what part of Bill Clinton's anatomy would the liberal media blame if the United States gets hit with another terrorist attack during Bush's tenure. Frank's jaw gaped and he stammered and stuttered saying he couldn't answer that before running away. The following day at a Hillary event I tracked Frank down and asked him if he knew whether or not Bill O'Reilly's gay lover was present. Frank almost choked on his tongue before running off.
The fact is Frank Luntz, the self proclaimed language expert, is a wind bag who has duped the right wing nit wits who vote against their own best interests. It's not that difficult to dupe idiots, but credit is due to those who have figured out how to exploit the great dumbing down.
A knuckle dragging moran's vote counts as much as a serious critical thinker's.
Nietzsche was right.
