Cenk also wrote about this yesterday at Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cenk-uygur/memo-to-senate-democrats_b_83192.html

PS---If you enjoy this and are tired of the corporate mainstream media election coverage, why are you watching (and therefore supporting) it?

Support progressive media and watch the BraveNewFilms.org or TYT.com election coverage instead. They have fun and informative progressive hosts (including Cenk and Robert Greenwald, the man behind Fox Attacks, and BraveNewFilms with movies like Outfoxed and Iraq For Sale) with tons of great guests (Sam Seder was on for the Iowa coverage just to name one of many examples) and up to the minute updates on the polls.

If you watch at www.BraveNewFilms.org/election there is also a great live chat and live polling (i.e. instant polling of everyone watching the coverage). At the *very* least, you can have the TV on (if you insist) and do the live chat and polls at your PC.

Here is the guest list for the South Carolina coverage (keep in mind that they tend to add 1-2 last minute guests every time!):

1. He could very well
be right. The DC dems are so insulated, they are in their own little world and they seem to rely on the msm for their news, they don't go further because they don't want to be 'labeled' as kooks or liberals. They never seem to see the whole picture because they are part of it all.

BTW TYT can also be downloaded onto an Ipod from Itunes and it's free.

2. It's past time for a Third party

View itfrom this angle and everything the Dems have done makes sense:

The Dems are and have been the Silent Partners of the Neocons and Corporations. Most of them ARe part of the Oligarchy.

3. Yes but there is hope...
http://www.john08.com/ This candidate ran against Hastert and should have defeated him but he got no support from the DLC since he was anti-war.

Hastert's land fraud was not exposed by our local newspaper since it is Conservative (Chicago Tribune).

I hope he wins this time around.

Melissa Bean who defeated Crane has been a disappointment so there are people running against her.

Both Obama and Clinton are from Chicago. Both are part of the obligarchy or they wouldn't have suppport of the Chicago Tribune. I won't support anyone supported by that newspaper now.

I want Kucinich policies (except for blanket amnesty) but would vote for Edwards. Health care, the economy, and the war are concern of mine.

4. DAmn Good Points mac2
In fact I live in the 8th District and agree that Bean was a major disappointment. In her first year in Office she voted WITH Delay on every MAJOR issue. I will be voting against her in the Primaries.

Edwards All the Way

8. ..no, I mean believe it. Why are they
so willing to believe? If they suspect lihop or mihop they have every reason to believe threats.

9. And if they don't cough up the goods
and give Bu$h what he wants they risk looking "weak on terror", and getting smacked down with another "terrorist attack" to prove their folly.

I'll buy that easily.

12. "Let it happen on purpose" and "Made it happen on purpose"--
referring to 9/11 and the theory that the administrationw as complicit. Either LIHOP or MIHOP, if true, would mean that these thugs are capable of anything to get what they want, so the Dems are afraid to cross them too much. Also, there is the small matter of the anthrax attacks, which seemed to target Dems only.

10. Group think -- collective denial and shared delusion -- is a pwerful thing.
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 11:34 PM by pat_k
And at the heart of almost all the current delusional "conventional wisdom" is the belief that impeachment -- the ONE thing that can put us back on the path of sanity -- can't, won't, or shouldn't be demanded.

OUr so-called "leaders" occupy a world in which absurd assumptions go unquestioned, and beget even more wrong-headed assumptions . . . until their created "reality" = the opposite of reality.

"You can't fix stupid" (Ron White). But you can break through denial. Outsiders can -- and are -- injecting reality.
