2. Does anyone link the increased problems associated with illegal immigrants

with NAFTA?

NAFTA was supposed to be this panacea for all of our economic and social problems. Mexicans were supposed to find all kinds of jobs and pull themselves up economically. Instead, we've been seeing Mexican farmers driven from their land and they migrate north and enter the U.S., and in many cases, illegally. U.S. employers such as motel chains, landscapers, farmers and others have found it irresistible to pass up hiring them because they'll work for substantially less than most U.S. citizens.

NAFTA is like the Iraq war. Everyone voted for it. But our leaders are too damned bullheaded to admit it was a mistake and now,they're spending a bunch of time spinning and cooking data to cover their big fat asses.
