2. The Only Reason...

...I kept HBO year before last was that I thought I wanted to watch this show. I gave it up last time out and haven't regretted it since. Bill Maher's show has been worse and worse every season. This guy - whoever he is - is lame. I mean what was the point, other than getting to say fuck over and over without getting bleeped?

I've been a dues-paying member of the Democratic Party for years...I was a huge Deaniac...but I refuse to contribute another nickel because I believe the party has allowed themselves to be 'played' by the corporatists of the demo party - along with big media - and have eliminated the only candidates that could have stood a chance to fulfill Howard's 50-state strategy. By narrowing down to 'Obamary', they've written off the South. No way a black man carries a state-wide election in any of the 'solid-South' states...and with Hillary, we'll have given the repugs exactly what they want - a reason to come out and vote. We're gonna have a repug President again - and worse, probably the turn-coat, the Senator from Israel, Lieman, as a running-mate.

6. What is wrong with Bill Maher and his show?

He brings more intelligence and thought-provoking discussion into television than any other tv host I know of. I think watching Maher's show is a breath of fresh air, because unlike all the other parroting talking heads in the MSM, Maher cuts the craps and says what's really going on. Oh, and he actually holds his guests' feet to the fire.

But if you can't stand hearing the word 'fuck' every now and then, you need to do some growing up first.

3. Who is that A-hole?

That Matt Taibbi is a horses ass. Yeah we get it, your so damned Liberal that you can say "fuck" every second word. He looks for any possible controversy and blow it the fuck out of proportion just like his counter heads on Faux. He's comes off as an arrogant prick who is going to prove to every "family values" midwest conservative why the lefties are all just a bunch of disrespectful foul-mouthed idiots.

4. This is comedy but it is much better analysis than Hardball or Tucker or Blitzer or just

about any round table on any "serious" news station.

We have reached some sorry times in America when you hear more news on a comedy show than on a news show.

Lighten up, guys. This is meant to be funny. It was funny. I thought the part about humping Edwards voters was cute.

5. Matt Tiabbi is great! Funny, and also cuts right through the bullshit.

Not only about how both Obama and HRC pretend to care about Edwards' message (and even Edwards was only giving lip service to progressive ideals, imo), but he also slams both candidates over their lack of real change, the Patriot Act and my favorite: the Iraq War Resolution. HRC knew Bush was going to Iraq, indeed. But the bottom line here is: Matt Tiabbi slams both candidates very eloquently and he is right every f*cking time. I love this guy!
