is he will change the way politics is conducted at 1600 Pennsylvania ave. Instead of separating parties, both in the government, and throughout the united state, he will try to better unite both parties to work towards making this a better country by incorporating new ideas, new trends, etc.
I think change means that we are all people, and will not be looked down upon because of age, sex, race, political affiliation, or religion.
I think he will change the way we are viewed abroad in the world community.
And when we have talks with other countries, we will be talking with them, not down to them and not acting unilaterally.
Change, that we can have a president that we can put more faith into than in recent administrations. A president that might actually have the peoples best interest in mind when making decisions.
The fact that he is black, I think would be huge change. That would be a major step toward civil rights in our country and could bring the african american and white communities closer than ever. Actually, I feel that has already started.
Obama has targeted the young demographic which in itself is major change. Having young people actually excited about politics and wanting to get involved. Many people have failed at achieving that. And its not just the kids, older folk that have been disgusted with their government actually feel motivated to give it another try.
I have heard many of his speeches and thats what I get from them.
Obama said he will set a date to end this war. He wants to show Iraq that he means business and is serious about getting the troops out of there. And by setting a date, Iraq will need to take responsibility for its country knowing that we will be leaving. Of course, we could leave before that date, or after. It depends on the situation at the time. But he is willing to set a date, Hillary is not.
