You are absolutely right, and that's essentially the same "Obamabot" comeback I've come up with.

There are always fringe people who don't know when to be humble (there's plenty of that on both sides) and shut up for the good of their own argument. We saw that happen when the entire conservative base decided they would never be humble again. C'mon y'all, we've been duped (as a nation) by divisive BS for years. You've become so accustomed to it that you're suckering yourselves into it inside your OWN party. Brains...serious brains. This whole load of BS is just fodder for the conservative argument that the libs will attack anyone who does not agree with them.

For disclosure, I am not supporting Obama yet until he does put some detailed substance behind his arguments. However, I've read and heard what he has to say, and agree and am inspired by most of it. It's hard not to be, even the republicans have admitted that.

Attacking your own candidate (which he will likely be) is just not very smart.

10. I was there in Madison -- I had no problems with it.

In my adult lifetime there have been many opportunities to be disappointed with America. The "Contract with America". Bill's retreat to the right. Bill's philandering. The empty right wing attacks on Clinton. The farce that was Whitewater and impeachment. The entire last 8 years -- including a supreme court that stole an election. I was even more disappointed in us for re-electing him.

Seeing large portions of the country unite behind an extremely well qualified candidate - Obama - and put him in office DESPITE the obvious landmines (his name, his race) gives me hope that Americans aren't that dumb and that our political system isn't entirely broken.

This is typical fare coming from Bill. He's got his racist, rightwing xenophobic fans to placate, otherwise he'd lose ratings. It's the same with any of these bigoted, rightwing talkshow hosts who have to throw in a worthless, durogatory comment every now and then.
