There seems to be a lot of talk regarding this particular moment at the debate. The "change you can Xerox" line is sort of clever, but I don't think she got the reaction she was expecting.

1. I know what I want to be when I grow up.

I want to design and build sets for debates. Those companies must be making BANK for one night's worth of backdrop.

:-)

2. I hear you.
They're getting to be as elaborate as large concert or theater setups. All they're missing is some pyrotechnics.

4. One of these days Gene Simmons is going to run for office.
And when he does, there will be explosions and fire. (the good kind).

Oh, and glitter! Lots of glitter.

7. With Gene, there would never be a question about his prior relationships.

Knowing him, he'd make a comment about how he'd been with so many women that he's already got a majority of the electorate.

It would be very tacky. :-)

13. No, Not sure what Fresh Air is.
But yes, king of the jerks. Arrogance squared.

Not saying I'd want him to run, was just saying that he'd make things interesting. :-)

9. Hillary doesn't settle for shooting herself in the foot.
She aims straight for her own head.

I'm a disaffected Edwards supporter who isn't thrilled with either choice, but I know damn well that either one would be much, much better than John McCain. So don't bother labeling me an "Obamabot" or anything like that for my comments.

This ridiculous "plagiarism" issue raised by the Clinton campaign is designed not to win the election for Hillary Clinton, but to lose it for Barack Obama. You think she doesn't remember what the media did to Joe Biden? She's trying for round 2, this time on the guy who's likely to represent the Democratic Party in the upcoming election. She cares *much* more about her own candidacy than about defeating the Republicans in November. And because of that, I cannot support her in the primaries, despite the fact that her health care plan is miles better than the one Obama proposes. "Plagiarism" of a few words from your own campaign manager hardly matters. Character does matter, and Clinton has shown hers to be severely lacking. She might have had my vote before this. Not now. Not ever.

15. You've got a point, the flip side....
is that the more hardballs Obama takes now, the less those same throws will sting in the GE. I was initially pretty ticked off about this whole plagiarism issue. I am myself an Obama supporter, and I thought it was a really low blow without much substance. I had a change of heart about it though. I think Obama having to take on some tough shots early on actually serves to get some of the possible Repub talking points out of the way before they become BIG issues they try to make stick in the GE. That, and IU have been very impressed with his responses to all of the accusations thrown at him so far. He hasn't lost his cool, and he's responded in a way that deflects much of the criticism back at the attacker...so I say if she wants to throw hardballs, let her do it. Obama is well equipped to handle them, and getting these issues out in the open now is going to help him in the long run.

...Goodness sakes Hillary plagiarism is unauthorized use, Duval is his friend. Then we find she does it herself and that is usually termed hypocrite. I don't care they do it but hypocirisy does get me.
